Kinsale Trad Fest returned for its second year over the May Bank Holiday Weekend 2026, building on the success of its inaugural festival with an even richer celebration of Irish music, dance and culture in one of Ireland's most distinctive coastal towns.

Across the weekend, Kinsale came alive with outstanding headline performances, intimate trad sessions, vibrant street music, engaging workshops, fascinating exhibitions and unforgettable late-night festival moments, creating a truly unique experience for visitors and locals alike.

 

Audiences were treated to outstanding performances from Barry Tierney, Máire Ní Churraoin, Jennifer Leahy, Unity Irish Dance and The Rising, showcasing the very best of contemporary and traditional Irish music, song and dance. The intimate venue, enthusiastic audience and electric atmosphere combined to create a truly memorable finale to an incredible festival weekend.

Following the overwhelming success of Kinsale Trad Fest 2026, plans are already underway for an even bigger celebration in 2027.
